Meet the Artist

I have been making silver jewelry for about 15 years. Prior to that I created beaded jewelry for several years, first as a hobby, then seeing it as a profession. But for as far back as I remember, I liked drawing and watercolor painting, and I always wanted to create beautiful things.

I was born in Iran and I lived there through my first year of college, then moved to the United States. Here, I received a BA in Fine Arts, then studied Interior Architecture, and worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty years. However, throughout my career as an interior designer, my passion for creating art and hand-made objects would inspire me to take side-steps and express my creativity in a variety of art forms such as: 3-dimensional wall graphics, a line of hand-made greeting cards and photo albums, hand-sewn evening bags, and finally jewelry.

I took a 2-year sabbatical from jewelry making to attend a master’s program in Spiritual Psychology, which was offered at the University of Santa Monica, in 2011. Today I feel that it was one of the best decisions of my life!

I find all aspects of creativity very meditative, at the same time uplifting. I can lose complete track of time whether I’m working in the jewelry studio or drawing and painting Mandalas .
